Though the hype was huge, no one expected the magnum opus historical ‘Pazhaasi Raja’ to win hands down. The movie which grossed around 1.53 crores in its opening day, became the film with the highest ever opening day collections.
Pazhassi’s run is destined to create further more records in Mollywood, as the movie has repeated the feat in almost every centres in the last two days too-the Deepavali day and the Sunday. The movie is expected to have collected over four crores from its three day run in 125 centres. Around 10 lakhs of Malayalees are calculated to have completed their first viewing of the biggest ever movie in Mollywood, in the first three days, in the 1830 screenings all across Kerala.
The film has grossed an amazing record Rs 1.53 crore from 125 screens in Kerala on its opening day (October 16).
This is the highest ever opening day collection for any film in Kerala breaking the record of Twenty:20.
Zonkerala review – worth spending every dime.
Read full review here: This incomparable movie is three hours fifteen minutes long. Quality wise the film can be compared with Hollywood movies. Putting a mark for this film will be my ignorance as we can’t compare gem with gold.ttp://www.zonkerala.com/magazine/pazhassi-raja-review-156.html
Rediff Review – 3.5/5
Read rest here: The initial response when you come out of the theatre after watching the hugely mounted Malayalam film Pazhassi Raja is pleasant surprise.
